Information – consultation meetings of the project: “Preparation of a thematic management plan for the sector of agriculture and livestock in protected areas of the Region of Crete”.

MADE Consultants in collaboration with OIKOM LTD and Directorate of Rural Development of the Region of Crete, organized a series of informative meetings, in the framework of the project “Preparation of a thematic management plan for the sector of agriculture and livestock in protected areas of the Region of Crete”, which took place on June 7, 8 and 9, in Mylopotamos of Rethymno, Asimi of Heraklion and Lassithi Plateau.

The project is implemented for the first time in the country and is a pilot approach linking agricultural activity (agriculture and livestock) with biodiversity.

During the meetings, dialogues were held with the users and stakeholders of the region that are necessary for planning the project and for making the right proposals of specialized measures to support farmers and stock breeders that operate within the protected areas.
