Technical support for the submission of proposals for the selection of Local Development Strategies with Local Communities Initiative (LEADER) under the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027

MADE Consultants undertook the technical support of 4 Local Action Groups for the submission of proposals for the selection of Community Led-Local Development Strategies under the Programme “Support for Local Development through LEADER” of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy of the programming period 2023-2027.

The objective of the project is to support the Local Action Groups in the preparation of an integrated study of the current situation of the rural areas of the Local Action Groups and an integrated and documented development plan, in order to achieve comprehensive and targeted local development.

The main feature of the LEADER approach is the application of bottom-up participatory methods to ensure the involvement of local communities in project development and decision-making processes. The local development policy with the local community initiative is a key tool for achieving the objectives as described in the needs analysis for specific objective 8: Promoting employment, social inclusion and local development in rural areas including the bio-economy and sustainable forestry.
