MADE Consultants undertook the design and organization of two key awareness and information actions on behalf of the Larnaca and Famagusta Districts Development Agency (ANETEL), within the framework of the “ACT4ALL” project, funded by the Interreg VI-A Greece–Cyprus 2021–2027 Cooperation Programme.

The “ACT4ALL” project aims to strengthen social resilience and encourage active citizen participation in the prevention and management of risks related to natural disasters. To this end, the project includes the procurement of civil protection vehicles and equipment, the training and networking of volunteers and volunteer groups, as well as the implementation of awareness-raising activities for local communities.

With professionalism, consistency, and a strong sense of social responsibility, MADE Consultants designed and implemented two public information actions, highlighting the importance of prevention, preparedness, and cooperation in emergency situations.

As part of these actions, two thematic events were held, aiming to inform citizens and enhance the operational readiness of the local community.

1st Action: “Care and Evacuation of Animals in Areas Affected by Natural Disasters”

The first action took place on Saturday, 23 May 2026, and focused on the management of stray animals and pets during crisis situations, the provision of first aid to dogs, as well as the rescue of birds and wildlife species following wildfires and other extreme events.

Through practical guidance and specialized information, participants had the opportunity to learn essential procedures for approaching, handling, and providing first aid to companion animals and wildlife species. At the same time, the crucial role of citizens and volunteers on the front line of emergency response was highlighted.

Special emphasis was placed on effective cooperation between citizens, volunteers, and competent authorities, ensuring that animal-related incidents are addressed safely, in a coordinated manner, and with maximum effectiveness.

The action made a meaningful contribution to fostering a culture of responsibility and preparedness, strengthening the protection of animals and wildlife in times of crisis.

2nd Action: “First Aid for Children During Natural Disasters”

The second action took place on Monday, 25 May 2026, and focused on the need to protect children, who are among the most vulnerable groups in crisis situations and natural disasters.

Through the presentation of basic first aid principles, emergency response practices, and practical guidance for children and infants, participants strengthened their knowledge and preparedness, contributing to the creation of safer and more resilient communities.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of remaining calm and responding immediately until specialized assistance arrives.

The action highlighted the crucial role of basic training for citizens, parents, teachers, and volunteers in protecting children during emergency situations.
